Meet Our Staff:
Dr. Frederick Schuster, Chiropractor
Dr. Fredrick Schuster has treated patients as a Chiropractic Physician since April 1996. He received his doctorate from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL and his Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. Dr. Schuster served as a paramedic/fireman in the Chicago Northwest suburbs for over ten years before entering Chiropractic School. He is focused on improving the health of his patients through the use of chiropractic care, injury rehabilitation, and nutritional counseling. Dr. Schuster is a staff doctor at St. Alexius Hospital, and a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Illinois Chiropractic Society, and Woodfield Area Children’s Organization.
Victor Gomez, Massage Therapist
Victor Gomez joined the Total Atheleticare team in 2007. He received his certificate in Massage Therapy from Olympia College in 2003. Victor’s therapeutic specialties include Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, reflexology, and sports massage. When he is not working at Total Athleticare, Victor plays the e-flat alto horn in a well known Mexican band named Banda Arrarzadora, enjoys landscaping work, and is looking forward to getting married mid-2016.
Mayra Ayala, Massage Therapist
Mayra Ayala joined the Total Athleticare team in 2010. She received her Certificate in Massage Therapy from Olympia College in 2005. While her school studies are mainly focused on Western Massage, Mayra believes in a holistic approach to relieve symptoms. She specializes in Therapeutic massage, Deep-Tissue massage, Swedish massage and Pressure Point therapy. In her spare time, Mayra enjoys exercising, doing yoga, reading, and the outdoors with her son. She also enjoys attending work functions involving sports.
Kelly Swayne, Massage Therapist
Kelly Swayne is the newest member to join the Total Athleticare team! She received her certificate in Massage Therapy while attending the Soderworld Wellness Center and Academy in Willowbrook, IL. Drawn to a holistic approach to health, she also has a background in aromatherapy and enjoys using essential oils. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys hiking, biking, gardening, and working on revamping her 116-year-old home.
